Tanflow Authenticator App - Privacy Policy

This notice covers the Tanflow Authenticator application, published by Tanflow Ventures Private Limited. It is written to India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, which is the law we operate under.

The application works entirely on your device. It does not collect, store or transmit personal data to us, so most of what a privacy notice usually has to explain does not arise here. This page sets out what that means precisely, so that you can hold us to it.

It does not cover this website. What we collect through www.tanflow.com is in our website privacy policy.

1. What the application does not do

The application requires and performs none of the following:

• No registration, sign-in or account of any kind
• No tracking of usage patterns or in-app behaviour
• No location access or monitoring
• No device identification or fingerprinting
• No advertising identifier, and no advertising
• No cookies
• No third-party tracking or analytics libraries

2. Where your authentication secrets live

The secrets used to generate your one-time codes are created and held in the application's own storage on your device. They are not sent to us, and we have no copy of them and no way to obtain one.

Two consequences follow, and it is fairer to state them here than to let you discover them:

• If you remove the application or lose the device, we cannot restore your secrets for you. Keep the recovery codes your service providers give you when you enrol.
• Anyone who can unlock your device can open the application. Protect the device with a screen lock, and use whatever device-level protection your platform offers.

3. How we use your information

There is none to use. Because nothing is collected, there is no subsequent use, storage, sale, profiling or sharing of user data by us.

4. Sharing and disclosure

Because nothing is collected, there is nothing we can share with advertisers, analytics platforms, other companies, or any authority - including in response to a lawful request. We cannot hand over what we do not hold.

5. The app store you installed it from

Downloading and updating any application involves the store you get it from. Google, Apple or whichever store you used will record the download, and may collect device and account information, under their own privacy policies. We do not control that, we do not receive personal data from it, and it happens whether or not you ever open the application.

If you contact us for support by email, that email reaches us like any other and is handled under our website privacy policy.

6. Children

This application is intended for use at work and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect the personal data of anyone under 18, which is the age the DPDP Act 2023 uses - and, as set out above, we do not collect personal data through this application from anyone at all.

7. Your rights, and where to complain

The rights the DPDP Act 2023 gives you - to a summary of your data, to correction, to erasure, to withdraw consent, and to nominate someone to act for you - apply to personal data a company holds about you. We hold none from this application. If you believe otherwise, write to us and we will look into it and tell you plainly what we find.

If you are not satisfied with our answer, write to our Grievance Officer at the address below. If we still do not resolve it, you may take the matter to the Data Protection Board of India.

If you are somewhere with its own data protection law, that law may give you rights we have not described here. Write to us and tell us what you are asking for.

8. Changes to this policy

If the application ever begins to collect anything, this page is changed before that version ships, not after, and the effective date at the top is updated. A change of that kind would also be reflected in the app store listing's data safety information, so the two can be compared.
